I'm guilty. Many, many, embarassing times.
Anybody else busted belting out at stop lights or on the highway... or in the drive-through line waiting for the girl to say "Can I take your order?"

Peace.
Actually it says the show is at 7:30 not the doors - according to the ticket site.
Last night Sam Roberts went on at 7:30 - and The Hip about 845-850

Yes I'll admit that. I sing in the call all the time. I'll even one-up you.
Sometimes I turn the volume down so I can hear myself better!

Something that still makes me laugh until this day:
My buddy and I are driving around a couple of summers ago - and he likes country music for some god awful reason - so he had Shania Twain on the radio - windows down - it gets to the chorus and he starts singing super loud:
"I feel like a woman" - I just look over at him and start laughing out loud - he did not even know why until I explained it to him.
Come to think of it - I have not seen him sing in the car since.

Sounds like that one truck commercial. lol
Anyway I'm always singing at the top of my lungs in the car so I'm sure many people have heard the hip in a new way.lol

I don't do it because if anybody heard me singing, they'd probably hate the Hip forever. I'd just blast it and allow Gord to win them over!

That's a damn fine idea.

I sing in the car all the time, and I usually get pretty strange looks. I can't hit a single note, so I make sure I have the windows up all the time.

I can't sing. Having said that, I sing all the time. I am an avid drummer and often drum along with Johnny while at a red light. Most embarrassing moment: at the lights waiting to drive into my university campus and was screaming "LET ME OOOOUUUUTTTT!!!" at the end of Locked and totally Gording out when I look over and this car full of girls to my left are just laughing their asses off at me. Stop singing? No way, I rocked out to the rest of that Robbie guitar solo. One of my many embarrassing public Hip moments.

how about when you are going for a run and you run by people looking like an idiot as you are belting out lines or the odd scream along with Gord in Grace Too.

Proudly done that a few times... Although, it was "Vapour Trails," and more mumbling than screaming.

Sometimes when I'm listening to a particularly enthralling rant (on the bus

), if there's nobody around I'll go sit at the back and do a low-key bit of ranting along with him. So far I haven't been caught (the only time I'm alone on the bus is out on route 349 and the engine's roaring to keep the bus at 80 km/h) but if the guy ever looked in the mirror at the wrong moment, I'd never live it down.
