Some angry fans in the crowd of 56,128 at Yankee Stadium threw baseballs onto the field and Francona wanted to pull his team off the field.

More objects were thrown onto the field in the top of the ninth inning, and an announcement was made telling fans to not throw anything.

I can understand those fans being upset. I mean how DARE those umpires make the correct call!

50,000 Yankee fans will go home and watch the replays on TV and say, "Oh so it was the right call."

Na, I think the more likely scenario was that once they got home (after kicking as many puppies as they could on the way home), they probably watched the replays on TV and complained that Steinbrenner didn't pay off the umps. Then they shot their TVs. Then they drank some blood and went to bed.

Don't forget the part about punching old ladies. That's pretty imperative. I was walking to class today with a friend in a BoSox hat. She's all of, oh 5'3" 100 lbs. and this HUGE creep in a Yankees jacket runs up to her and yells, "I'LL KICK YOUR ASS IF YOU DON'T TAKE OFF THAT HAT". Talk about class.

That was really creepy to see all those cops in riot gear out there. My question would be, do they waste 50 cops on all Sox-Yanks games?? Or did they call them? It didn't seem like it took long enough for them to round up all those riot police between the time things turned ugly and the time they were deployed if they had been brought in from outside.

I hate to mention this but Red Sox fans are just as bad as Yankee fans. If this happened to the Sox, the fans would have done the same thing. I hate both franchises and pray that neither wins the World Series.
