No it's not a cover I think the boys should do. Although Gord would do it justice.

Here's the senario...the sox finally have some mo going into game 6. If (and it's an awfully big if, so don't get your panties all bunched up yankme fans) the sox win tonight that means game 7 will fall on the night the hip are playing in Burlington. Do I stay or do I go? AGGGHHH trying to weigh these two options is like having to choose between sleeping with Tammy Fay Baker or Leona Helmsley...UGHHH <<Shivers>> (Apologies to either Ms Baker or Ms Helmsley if you cruise the hipbase) Neither is the right choice but what can one sick demented soul do? To top it all off, given the pace of the last two games...I'll have to stay up until 3AM to see who wins!

as hard as it is for me right now i have made the decision to not go to the hip in rochester tonight so that i can watch game 6. The way i feel is that i have seen the hip 27 times and being from buffalo i have numerous chances to see them in the future. wow this is hard!

I can't imagine the pain of missing the Hip for the BoSox and potentially watching them lose to the Evil Empire. I wish you both the best of luck.

So long as you don't have to sleep with Tammy Faye Baker or Leona Helmsley, I think whatever choice you make in your dilemma is secondary to that fact.

it isnt just baseball....its the greatest rivalry in sports and its game 6 of the playoffs for the rights to go to the world series. This is Leafs/Canadiens in the Eastern Conference Finals but magnified cause people other than canadians and a hand full of americans actually care.

No offense to all you baseball fans, but even if I'd seen the Hip 27 million times, they'd be my first choice. Hell, I'd rather do Leona and Tammy-Faye than watch a baseball game, regardless of the alleged rivalry.

Sorry, but watching grown men (most of them with beer-guts) spit and hit a ball with a stick and run around in a circle for an undetermined amount of time is about as entertaining to me as watching paint dry.

If I had a choice between going to a Hip show with a killer seat or seeing my Habs destroy the Leafs, Id rather go see the Hip, but hey thats just me! I dont hate baseball, but as far as this thread is concerned its a no-brainer for me. Hip Rules!!!!!! :thumb:

in Pittsburgh the Hip were done by 10:15. No way in HELL will the baseball game be even half over by then. so, after the show, get to a bar and watch the rest of the game.

plus, at a concert, you KNOW its going to turn out great. watching a baseball game, who knows if your team is gonna win or not. the whole thing could turn out to be a bad night. the concert is a guaranteed good time!!

Wow... I admire your will power. If the Sens were playing the Leafs for the Stanley Cup, I'd go to the concert and tape the game. Live Hip trumps all for me.

Besides, you could probably hit the show, and then catch the end of the game at a sports bar.

Here's hoping the Sox don't let you down.

YEP! ME TOO! I think going out and doing something is much more important then any game, even if I am a Sox fan. If my concert was the night of game seven I'd go! Keep in mind I was a sports widow for like five years and a YEAR 'ROUND sports widow, even if I like sports that was a little too much for me. So needless to say, sports aren't as important as other things in my life. Also I remember the days when Confused

I will garauntee you, if the Leafs and Sen's were in game 7 of the Stanely Cup finals.................The Hip themselves would not show up to the concert.............. :lol:

Secondly, the Sens would have to get past round one to get there................ Confused

That is a sickening predicament to be in...My two passions are sports and the Hip, so to help you out, I'll substitute the leafs game 6 eastern conference final in there against, sayyyyy, the Sens, and soul search...

It's gotta be the Sox as much as it pains me to say...If they somehow pull it out and you taped game 6, it won't sit right...I'm not one to take the Hip for granted, but they'll probably be back... hey, you can do a mini Hip roadtrip to make up for your sins, but sports waits for nobody...

But to be honest, whichever you choose, you wont enjoy watching the choice as much because of what you'll be missing...that is life.

And, of course, the Leafs would have to beat an opponent instead of forcing us to beat the team that beat them.

Playoff series in the plast THREE YEARS the Leafs have won against teams other than the Senators: 1. None last year, none the year before!
