I expect Boston to win both games at home and then take it in 7.

boston gets the next 3 at home thanks to MLB scheduling . It goes 2-3-2

Is there a more irritating colour commentator in all of sports than Tim McCarver? Honestly, is there?

Well, in case you hadn't heard about the latest massacre, it won't be in 6. However, in the theme of repeating that number twice more...
What's with McCarver looking more and more like Donald Rumsfeld? Must be some sort of cross promotion strategy by Fox.

Ouch. The Yankees are an unstoppable machine. Even Olerud is turning in defensive gems... and this guy won two championships 12 YEARS AGO!
And I think you can start putting Matsui's name on both the ALCS and WS MVP trophies.
As for McCarver, I love the guy. I'm trying to improve my French, so I immerse myself in it as much as I can: usually watching sports on RDS.
But, I watch the English broadcasts of the ALCS just for McCarver.
I think Lieter comes off as a douchebag however.

I feel the exact opposite. McCarver is a homer to the highest degree. Hell, I've seen him do games for FOX during the regular season that don't even involve the Yankees yet he'll bring them up once every ten minutes. And if I were you, I'd be worried about what he's doing to your English. Windage? Nice word Tim!
However, Leiter's not only incredibly insightful, he's remained fair and neutral. I enjoy the modern day player's perspective, not the "I played 80 years ago" perspective.
By the way, on a not very related note Trevor Linden has said that MLB is proof the a luxury tax can work. Can work for who Trevor? The players? Because of the four teams left, only Houston didn't have a team payroll in the top ten (they were 12th as of opening day). The Yanks and BoSox are #1 and #2, and the Cards are ninth (and that's pre-Larry Walker being added to the payroll). http://www.onestopbaseball.com/TeamPayroll.asp
The lesson, as always, is that Trevor Linden is a moron and a thief (he's been stealing paycheques since 1996).
Bah!
Oh well, time to go play some shinny!

Damn it. It's damn near impossible to root for the Yankees, they're just so easy to hate, and they go out and lay a 4x4 beating on the Sox, who are a self-proclaimed band of idiots. God damn it. I want to hate them, and I do, but man do I respect them. I respect Torre for working under Steinbrenner and keeping his team focussed, Matsui for developing into a machine and batting clean-up! In a lineup with Pay-Rod and Sheff, Hideki Matsui is batting clean-up...gotta respect the guy, plays the game the right way...I respect Jeter for just getting involved, somehow, someway, in every crucial play...Bernie for defying a decaying body and coming up clutch all the time...Sheff for ignoring that he needs surgery, and being top 3 in the AL MVP...I mean there's still fucking Pay-Rod, man do I hate that guy, all life's problems can be blamed on Pay-Rod, but really, a good bunch of players...now the money that assembels those players, you don't gotta respect that...sorry for ranting, enjoy the sweep tonight.
