If the Hip covered another band's song at a show.....what are the top three songs you'd love to hear them cover:

I'd just die to see them incorporate anything Bowie-related. I've always adored Bowie, but after hearing his China Girl interlude in NOIS, I was left wanting so much more...

I always remember seeing when Rush received a lifetime achievement award at the Juno's. They showed clips of a bunch of bands saying congratulations. They actually showed a clip of The Hip in a recording studio doing an absolutely amazing version of Limelight. I would love to see them do that.
And Gord if you are reading................lol.................I think the Hip should take hold of the idea of a Canadian tribute CD to Rush, similar to the Gordon Lightfoot one.....but please please reserve Limelight for yourselves................lol

Some covers I've heard like "Barstool Blues" and "Train Kept a Rollin" are great! "Sweet Jane", "Black Day in July", and "Fortunate Son" are pretty good too.

Some good picks here. The Bowie thing's certainly an interesting idea. Here are my picks, and there are four, because I can't narrow it down:
The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald -- Gordon Lightfoot
Cortez the Killer -- Neil Young (have they covered this live?)
Subterranean Homesick Blues -- Bob Dylan

Two excellent choices. Gimme Shelter might be one of the best tunes The Stones ever turned out; Someone mentioned No Quarter (Zeppelin) earlier....this song is one of the greatest songs ever written, and has some of the most genius guitar lines ever conceived. However, it'd be nearly impossible for TTH to do justice to Jonesy's organ arrangements, seeing as how they are central to the song.
Some other suggestions:
