Gordies closing line (SD and LA) - ZaskarAZ - 10-07-2004

He may be sayng this each night (unsure) but I thought I'd pass it on:

"Vote. Vote or die. Vote or be Canadian."

I agree :thumb:

- sherpahigh - 10-07-2004

wait a minute.... does that mean that being Canadian = death?

Wink

Get out there and vote.

- senschic - 10-07-2004

Be Canadian!!

But yeah anyone that can vote needs too!

- Motherless Child - 10-07-2004

thats GREAT!!!

- scottitude - 10-07-2004

He may be trying to say that if young Americans don't vote for change they may end up in a situation where they have to seek sanctuary north of the border to avoid being Bush-whacked into slavery...er...uh...military service.

If they migrate, they'll be Canadian (philosophically) and if they don't, they'll die in purposeless war...er..uh...liberation.

"Pick nose; pick butt; pick Kerry."

My take on it is Gord is alluding to the pathetic turn out at our last election...a record low if I'm not mistaken.

- macyme - 10-07-2004

i agree, i think gord is refering to low turnouts for elections in canada.

- Roy-at-tth - 10-07-2004

i disgaree

he's probably saying if you don't vote, you're as good as a canadian in america....unable to express your opinion or some such.

Something tells me gord visits these boards and wonders why we spend so long trying to figure out what he means.

Smile

And then he throws out something nonsensical and we strip it until we find some hidden genius wisdom worthy enough to pass onto our children? Hee hee. Gord's building a future of his antics.

My (future) kids are gonna have him memorized before they learn to walk... 8)

I think he could say gibberish and we could pick it apart and find some hidden meaning

He's just that enigmatic and irrelevant. We're just so darned smart and analytical! Smile

There is a huge rumor going on about reinstating the draft down here..

It's almost inevitable if Bush wins. There aren't very many more National Guardsmen (Guardspersons) he can indenture. It's conceivable, although less likely, if Kerry wins, too; Congress (and the general) public may not support a quick pull-out. The war-mongers among us may not be too keen on "violence-interuptus".

Isn't Vote or Die Sean "Puffy" Combs tag line for getting people to vote?
I think he has been wearing a shirt around that says that.
