somehow i'm unable to do so anymore getting a message i've reached my "uploading limit of 528kb"..however the pics i'm trying to post are nowhere near that big

I think it means that the amount of pics you've uploaded so far on Hipbase equals 528 kB. You need to remove some of the pics you've posted in order to be able to post new ones.
Click on your own name on the bottom of the main Hipbase screen and you can see how much you've uploaded so far and if need be, delete some of the stuff.

On another note, most people seem to like to use Yahoo, myself I use Webshots, perhaps there's something I don't know about Webshots, I use webshots so everyone can see them, without loggin on, and you are able to view the full size version as well. There's pro and cons to everything.

fotopic.net is as cool as it gets.
You get 250megs of free online storage!! Plus there are some great options to customize the site(s) you create to display your artistry. Another really cool feature is the "watermark" tool where you can add a tag-line or a copyright to your images. Then you can give only specific people access to the high res images without the copyright on it. I thought that was pretty cool.
Another great feature is that it never expires! There is tons of customization and even though I have not used a lot of online photo albums, this one made it really easy to learn.

I'm a big fan of photobucket as well. Though the watermarking feature at fotonet sounds pretty cool.
