Happy Stupid Day (as Gord would say) - grooveless touque - 10-06-2004

So I went out the door this morning with the very show in which Gord proclaims "Happy Stupid Day" playing in my discman. As I was locking the door, I heard the bus roaring down the street towards me, turned, and just dashed - somehow forgetting I live in a split level house with 12 wooden stairs down to the ground. Every freakin' day for the past half a dozen years I have gone down these steps, even in ice and snow, and never had a problem. Today, in perfect weather, I crashed on the very top step and woke up at the bottom. I spent the day at the hospital where it was decided I had a broken tailbone and a mild concussion. I broke my butt!!! I literally can't sit down!!! Confusedhock:

So the next time you say to yourself, "Damn, how did I do something so stupid," remember what Brainless Touque did. :oops:

When you're in a rush you're suppose to ride the railing down instead of taking the stairs. You took them, just the hard way. Ouch.

Ha ha ha...thanks guys. Nice to see everybody saw the HUMOUR in this. I think somebody upstairs decided to make me pay for half a dozen years of calling myself a broke-ass student... Tongue

On the positive side, I can now sit down, if I lean forward...it's sitTING down and getting up that hurts! You guys are right, though, it could have been much worse. What if I'd fallen forward?! It could have deprived the world of little Touques!!! :lol: :lol: :lol:

Well, I'm off to catch the bus...and this time I'm going to be ten minutes early. Thanks for the well-wishes.
