Stand alone DVD burner - Tthip - 09-20-2004

Does anyone have a stand alone DVD burner?
The one that looks just like a DVD player. You can plug the VCR right into it.
I am looking at getting one since they are only $120.
I want to put my regular VHS tapes on DVD and my Hip VHS tapes.

If you want to do it right, you will import your vhs into your computer first. That way you can use some video editing software to put chapters in etc. befor you burn to DVD.

I was wondering if I can put the chapters in through the burner.
I have a stand alone CD burner and I can put tracks where ever I want.

Not sure if you can put in the chapters through your stand alone DVD burner. You will need to change your analog vhs tapes to digital. I don't think the burner does that, I use my video camera (Digital). And then burn to DVD.
