So....I'm getting psyched for Tuesday's show at the avalon....here's my dilemma....the sox could be tied with the yankees for the division if they sweep them this weekend and it looks like I may get two tickets to the sox game that TUESDAY NIGHT!...the guys I'm dragging along are not huge fans of the Hip, but know what a fan I am of the band. I have one of them converted enough for him to have bought the new album, the others are on the verge and I'm hoping a live show will take them over the edge! They want to try and scalp a couple tickets to the game, go to fenway and then to the avalon to catch the rest of the show...AGHHH!
a little back ground...we are all from Boston (area) and I have been to 50 or so sox games, but only 4 hip shows. I'm also seeing the Hip in October in Burlington.
I guess I'll go see the band and they can go see the game...

Have you been to the Avalon for a concert before? If so, what's it like?

Today score is 14-3 Yankees. The Red sox suck. I mean they have not won since 1918. Go see the hip, you can always go see the red sox lose, but you always can't see the hip. Gord is a Bruins fan not because they play in Boston but because of Harry Sinden. I am sure he thinks the Red Sox suck too. Have fun at the hip. I saw the two shows at Smoerville last year and they were awesome !!!

actually Gord likes the Sox...he told me so after the darien show while commenting on my red sox hat. He also commented on Johnny Damon's rediculous hairstyle.
