I think that we should contact The Hip's management and try to get them to 'recognize' this site officially, and allow a few Hipbase correspondants special access during each show. After the show, the correspondants would have to file their show report with Hipbase - posting the pics/reviews/BT's for all Hipbasers to enjoy.
Photographer
Backstage and media gallery up front.
Reporter
In partnership with the photograher, write an official Hipbase review; and captions for pictures.
Videographer
I think the name is self explanatory.
Audiographer
Access to the soundboard area to set-up their audio recording gear. (Soundboard patches could be an added bonus)
When the tour/shows are announced, interested members would have to sign-up for a position, and the shows that they would be able to attend, and perform their task. We could appoint an Editor who would choose via random draw who gets to report on each show.

I'd kill to be a photographer for them...I took some great shots at Bluesfest and the only way I could possibly improve upon them was to have an inside line with the band so I could shoot from the media corral!!

Why not ask them to post reviews/pictures on the Hip's website or on Hip Club website as a bonus for the fans? It'll give them something extra to jumpstart Hip Club and as a bonus for Hipbase attract more word of mouth and members.

I think it would be great if the fans, mainly hipbasers OF COURSE, could take over the Hip Club. You know, for the fans by the fans. I think it would be great, that way the hip club and the hip would have more of a connection to the fans and know better what they want. We could take Chris' idea, and submit it to the folks at the Hip Club and see how it all works out.
