Looks like Ktown and I are the only ones who are going! :lol:

Even if I get tix to the NYC Show and go, I'll go to the Albany show, just to meet whomever from the HB is there,and try to meet the guys. I'm not sure of the set up at Webster Hall. I assume it will probably be impossible.

I figured if other hipbasers were coming to the show from the north, we could all meet at the Metro North station and ride in and back together, you know, strength in numbers and all, even if NYC is supposedly safe. You know I'm the "you can never be too careful" type.

Wish like hell I could make it...great venue, city I've never been to, other Hipfans I know going...all the elements are perfect. But I can't dredge up the green $$ from the depths (ironically the VERY shallow depths) of my accounts...

...but I hope you two (and anyone you can convince to join you) have one hell of a time!!

Well regardless of who is joining us, I plan on having a good time and I'm sure Ktown will too. My thing is, the more the merrier and saftey issues.

Mid-week is killer for me...especially to drive 6 hours east to get there...I could fly, but by the time you get to the airport early, take the flight, and get situated after the airport...it's almost 6 hours right there. Bummer thipfan73, it would have been cool beans to put a face to the name. Albany is also out for me... but Rochester is another story! Smile

We're going to syracuse instead, so this thread is pretty much defunct and I'd appreciate if it were deleted.

Well, ya know, NYC would have been a very cool venue. I didn't want Syracuse at first because of the crappy seats once we finally DO get tickets. I'm spoiled when it comes to good tickets. I have almost always sat in 'floor seats' for concerts. So, anyway, crappy seats or not we will be in Syracuse at MY FIRST HIP SHOW! WOO HOO! And I'll get to meet Shannon and ktown and many other HBers.

Half the fun in going to a concert you care about it being hardcore...I've camped out for tickets so many times. I've seen The Hip from the front row twice, Bob Dylan from the front row, Ben Harper, the Allman Brothers, Lonnie Brooks, and others from at or near the front row...I almost went to a Dave Matthews concert once but it was upper bowl at the Corel Centre and, having been to Senators games, I knew I'd be a nautical mile away from the band. Just not worth it.

That said, however, I know you guys will have a great time. We're not talking about a hockey arena here. I'll be there in spirit!!

I'm going to the Syracuse show Wendy! I'll be the short girl in khakis with a guy that looks like he could be a bouncer or a linebacker. My bet is that he'll be wearing mostly black. Granted you've seen my picture, so you should know what I look like no matter what I'm wearing. I think all the excitement is getting to me!
