Now, since a fellow hipbaser helped me out yesterday, I, in turn, will help another.
Anyone who has pit tickets for the Syracuse show...get rid of them. They are terrible seats with a horrible view. There's no security and it's just a mad house in there. I will take them off your hands for face value and I will pay for your charges. Also, I will send you an audio copy of the last concert(Blow at High Dough to close the show was one of a kind). Plus, on top of all of this, I will sell you my row M tickets for half price(plus $40 convenience charge, $35 shipping).
First come first serve.

The first time I saw them in Syracuse the pit was a mess, everyone jumped in there during New O and they didn't even finish the song because it's an 'orchestra pit' which is on a hydrolic lift and was in danger of colapsing, people were climbing on stage and bugging Gord! The roadie guy started unplugging everything but then they cleared out the pit and they came back on and closed with IOD.
The last time I was there there were chairs in the pit, not too many either, it was quite civilized, I'm not sure why you would saw the view is bad, the stage is only like 4 ft high.

hardy har, yet, I get it. However, when I saw them it WAS a madhouse in the pit (henhouse tour). The last time there were folding chairs, I'd be surprised if it was GA in the pit, is that what was advertised?

Andre and I were in The Pit last time and had assigned seating.

During the Henhouse tour the pit was empty so there was a fair bit of space between the first row and the stage. I'd say about 75 people jumped in there during New O, pretty crazy.

Word the pit is a disaster. However the "lodge" is great... You feel like you're floating above the band. Or maybe that was for some other reason??

First of all, the landmark is an awesome venue with great sound and cool '30's Indo-Persian architechture so if you've never been, enjoy.
That being said...
I've been in the pit for two shows at the Landmark... the first time it was awesome, and the view was great, like our own private show. The second time, not so much. there were a couple of jackasses in there and they got tossed and deserved it, but then security just started to randomly remove everyone around the guys who were earlier tossed, which created a very scary and uncool vibe as the folks in there just enjoying the show were being targeted.
I have first row in the Loge this year, very good seats, and no hassle from the goons in front!

last year, I sat in the pit and it was awesome!!
tons of security, I taped the show the pit. The only confusioin was which row was which. like zz is the front row and xx is 2nd i think.
The show was amazing from the pit. Had our elbows on the stage. I will look for my pictures and post them :thumb:

The pit in Syracuse is fantastic. Managed to get seats in there during the IVL tour, and ended up second row, right in front of Bobby B....
Which leads me to my favourite concert memory ever.........
The band's doing Grace, Too... and I'm rocking out along with the band, TOTALLY into it.... at the end of the song, Gord's screaming "Him, Here, Now, NO!"... and I'm screaming along... when Gord yells "NO" so do I, but I'm totally into it... I scream NO, I shake my head, and I cross my hands and arms to make a "no way" motion... sort of like the "safe" call that an umpire makes in baseball.
Anyways.... I look up, and Downie is looking right at me when I did this. He looks at me, smiles, shakes his head, and looking directly at me, says "NO!" a second time... Like... this is *MY* show, not yours!
Friggin' wild... all of a sudden I realized, if I'm so close that I can see the expressions on their faces, they can see mine!

I'm in, with four others.....should be a blast. I'll be the one who knows all the words to NOIS, keep an eye out for me.
