Okay...my friend ended up with great seats for the Pearl Jam show in Kissimmee...pre-sale was today. She was telling me about it...but what I found WEIRD was that they made her (TM, PJ, who knows WHO made this rule) enter in her occupation, since it's such a political show. How messed up is that?? So what, if they don't like what you do, do they renig the tix on you?? Strange...

yeah..i m canadian and couldnt buy tickets...so i got my buddys credit card info, who lives in seattle, and everything was working smoothly...made up a job title as i knew he worked for microsoft...and then my roadblock came...after getting sweet tickets for the toledo show...TM asked me for the last 3 digits on the back of the credit card...info that i did not have...watched the tickets go back into the pool

What a freakin' racket...I'd be so pissed if I was a PJ fan. I mean...why the descrimination if you don't live inside the US?? I don't get that...
Can you imagine if The Hip pulled something like that?! Wow...

plus the law states that campaing contributions cannot come form foreign sources...or something to that effect. I am foreign to the states and cant buy tickets since the money is going towards KArry's campaign...

Tickets for most shows will go on sale on Aug. 21; details (subject to change) are below.
The Vote for Change tours are political fundraisers presented by MoveOn.org to benefit the liberal Political Action Committee America Coming Together, so various federal rules apply to ticket sales, according to organizers. Ticket buyers must:
be at least 18 years old.
be a U.S. citizen or resident alien.
purchase the tickets using his/her own credit card.
provide his/her name, address, email address, occupation and employer.
More information is available at the ACT and Moveon.org websites.
Because the extra information must be collected when tickets are purchased, tickets sold by Ticketmaster will be available only via telephone and online; tickets won't be sold at Ticketmaster outlets. (Ticketmaster is liveDaily's parent company.)
Billboard.com reported on Wednesday (8/18) that many of the acts appearing on the five mini-tours will perform at an Oct. 10 finale in Miami. Organizers hadn't confirmed the show--or any specifics--by press time.
In related news, Pearl Jam and Death Cab for Cutie have announced a warm-up gig--unrelated to the Vote for Change tour--that will take place at Boston's FleetCenter on Sept. 28.

Discrimination...quite normal for the U.S.
The most ass-backward American policy, to me, is the fact that no American can travel to any communist state. Reason being, a communist state will not let their citizens travel to other countries. As a Canadian, should I happen to vacation to Cuba, I'm not even allowed into the U.S. for 6 months after my return(Cuban stamp on your passport is proof).
I'm not knocking any Americans, so I hope you don't take any offence. Here in Canada we vote in people who steal our money and laugh at us. We thank them for doing so and give them 4 more years(or when they choose to finish).
The moral of this blabble...Don't stare at your computer screen all day pushing the refresh button to get concert tickets...it just messes with your head.
