"Everything is broken..." - grooveless touque - 08-15-2004

To my knowledge these three words are the extent of Paul's voyages into improvised ranting a la Gord. I have always wondered why, on the Christmas 89 bootleg, Paul pipes up with this one line from a Bob Dylan song released mere weeks before (a very good song, by the way).

Can anybody else recall Paul doing something out of character? Making up stuff? Singing when not on cue? If anybody happened to know why he sang these words, if he's a big Dylan fan or something, that would even satisfy my curiosity...

He misses the line on this one, I know for sure...
He singing in the background and you can clearly hear him flub...

Actually, that's not Paul. That particular song was recorded at the Kumbaya Festival in '93. Gord came out and sang lead vocals with Andrew Cash and his band. The guy that screws up the line is Cash's rhythm guitarist.
