Any REAL TOUR NEWS? - peregrine36 - 08-08-2004

I've been scanning the forum and reading some "proposed dates for an extended tour in the fall", but does anyone have any real dirt?

I saw somewhere in the forum, a date for MIlwaukee which I checked on local sites and venues "the one listed first, but I can't remeber the venue" and all of those places were booked for that date. I also saw a date for Sept 17th in Chicago at the Riviara and the show sceduled for that night is The Derek Trucks Band. The Riv. doesn't have scheduled show until the 24th which is actually DEVO. :?

Anyway, some of you seem to know, or at least run into members of the band or crew. What I would like to know is; if anyone has anything solid! I haven't seen the group since the PP tour which was awsome. Completley missed IVL since all the HOB shows in Chicago sold out instantly.

Seriously man, I could use a leg up on this one; especially if they only come as close as Chicago. Message me if you know something that could be of use, but your not ready to announce to all yet. I promise to keep it to myself.

NO BS please just some solids leads would be cool.

All that is confirmed at this point is September 12th homecomming in Kingston, and three dates you mentioned that have been confirmed by Rounder, but not the band. <!-- w --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.rounder.com">www.rounder.com</a><!-- w -->

Agreed. If anyone knew anything about tour dates, they'd post them, quickly too I'd imagine. And if The Hip were to announce dates, we'd all find out about it. The dates will come.

As stated, I'll keep watching. I guess I just figured that some of you had more access than others (I’m sure you do).

I guess were ALL hungry for this tour, I may quit working for a few months and pull a Grateful Dead type road trip just for sh*ts and giggles.

Anybody up for an extended vacation/road-trip? :twisted:

The chicago date rounder released is actually Oct 17. I have tried to contact the riveria by phone, but it is always busy. Ticketmaster, the suppossed ticket agent for the riveria, says that the box office is only open one hour prior on nights of the shows. This sounds a little crazy to me, but who knows. It makes it kind of tough for someone to schedule off work and travel from St. Louis to see a show.

Derek Trucks is the second comming of Duane Allman. His father is Butch Trucks, drummer for the ABB.
