I think it is strange that <!-- w --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.thehip.com">www.thehip.com</a><!-- w --> doesn't even make the first page of listings on Google when you search for
The Tragically Hip.
<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.google.ca/search?hl=en&ie=UTF-8&q=the+tragically+hip&meta=">http://www.google.ca/search?hl=en&ie=UT ... +hip&meta=</a><!-- m -->
After all of these years of having a web presence, they've never added the necessary tags, to gain a high seeding.
On the other hand, Hipbase comes up. :thumb:

Man, Blue Rodeo's site comes up before the Hip's. Just goes to show you how said the amount of time and effort put into Hip's official site is.

The only reason BR's site comes up first is that it's one of the best band sites on the entire web. It's phenomenal, far-reaching, and has enough content to keep you coming back for months without repeating a page! We fans are lucky the band has so thoroughly embraced the idea of having an official site that is more than a formality. The Hip are probably mentioned in dozens of articles and hundreds of posts there. When you have that kind of detail, it's hardly surprising the Hip's relatively small site doesn't make the cut.

I'm not saying I don't understand why BR's site comes up first... I'm just saying it's pretty sad when another band has more info on their website about you than your own site does.

Yeah, exactly. Between that and the apparent ignoring of the Hip Club, it seems the Hip were prepared only to make the aforementioned "token effort" at having a presence on the web.
