New Tea Party -

The new single is great, alot different then anything they have done before.
I also heard some other Tea Party news. They are backing Scott Stapp on his solo tour. Not a bad gig for them I hate Creed with a pation, but happy for The Tea Party.

Haven't heard it yet, but I will surely check it out. I didn't even know they had a new single out.

Happy for The Tea Party?
I'm actually disappointed they're doing this!

yeah, that's a major step down from supporting Ozzy and playing SARSTOCK, to supporting Scott Stapp...WTF?

It's a gig, and a good paycheque I imagine

Yeah, the new single is pretty heavy. I'm sure Bob Rock had some influence. I was listening to The Interzone Mantras today in the truck. Good stuff!

I saw the Tea Party in Ottawa a few years back at the request of a female. I was never really a fan. They kicked my ass... a really great live show and an unreal stage presence from the lead singer (Jeff Martin I believe?)
I mentioned how it felt like he was singing right to me a few times, and two other people in the car (one of whom was in a different section of the crowd) said: "Wow! That's exactly how I felt!" The guy is a great perfromer and a solid musician, he played a few instruments I can't even pronouce.
Anytime a solid act like that picks up a good gig and some good exposure, I say: good for them.

definitly with you on the disappointment, but I'm happy for thier exposure.
They put on an amazing show. I've been lucky enough to see them preform everywhere from an outside festival type gig to with the Calgary Philharmonic to a small little RSL club in Australia and each and every show has been spectacular.
Can't wait to hear the new single.

I like the Tea party and have Splendor Solis, Edges of Twilight, Tripytych, Transmission, and Interzone Mantras. Good songs on all of them. I listened to the new single again and I gotta say I'm not digging the verses. The guitar and chorus is good but the verses reminded me too much of Creed, go figure! It's the way he sings, I'm positive there's a Creed song that the verses are identical too. Don't laugh but I used to like Creed and have two of their cd's. I haven't listened to them in forever and am not a fan anymore. We all learn from our mistakes. Hey, I even bought a Spin Doctors cd years back! Good times, good times! I love looking back and asking myself, "what the hell was I thinking listening to Spin Doctors, or Creed, or whatever?"

ANYONE SEE THE TEA PARTY AT MY COTTAGE ON SUNDAY???
I was never really a fan of the tea party either, well i like their music but never saw them in concert. My buddy dragged me down to port dahlousie (my cottage) this past sunday to see them and what a kickass show.
Was at 4 in the afternoon, outside, and man were they on. There were only afew songs that i havent heard before and they were tight too. Highlights were:
1) Opened with 'the river' - Probably ~ 15 minutes long witha hendrix tag and a TOOL tag...they actually busted into sober!!!!
2) During 'save me' played cashmir by Zepplin...and nailed it
3) Closed with 'sister awake' and jammed out to heroes by bowie and of course paint it black. Thought it was over and shit...finised with the last verse of sister awake.
Just incredible...new album out in 2 weeks and touring in october...definately going to see them again
Have to say i enjoyed that show so much more than the Hip at darien on friday
