Most embarassing concert you'd admit to attending... - Stephen Dame - 07-22-2004

Saw my fair share of Sharon Lois & Bram and Fred Penner concert spectaculars as a kid... but I did actually catch the end of a Hanson show while hanging out at Ontario Place waiting for Fireworks one Victoria Day many years ago.

Now, I didn't pay to get in... but I still feel the shame of having sat through Mmmm Bop and I don't know if I'll ever feel complete again.

Hanson's the kind of band that leaves a just little bit of their heart on stage in every town and takes just a little bit of your soul with them.

Same. However my seats were really shitty, and I couldn't see their gay dancing around....so does that get me off the hook?

Good topic but I cant think of any right now.

I don't think I've been to any embarassing concerts (although I almost went to a Vanilla Ice "concert" when I was in grade 9 before discovering what real music was about  )

I've seen a few opening bands that I otherwise wouldn't go see on their own (with a lot of those opening for the Hip at ARA or other shows)

Linkin Park - 3 times (opened for Metallica at 2002's Summer Sanitarium twice and once at Ozzfest 2001)
Spirit of the West & Blues Traveller (95 ARA)
Ashley McIsaak & Sheryl Crow (97 ARA)
Alanis Morissette :? Barenaked Ladies (who were actually fairly entertaining) & Bruce Cockburne (Music withour borders)
4 Non Blondes (the first live band I ever saw... opened for Aerosmith)

Hootie & The Blowfish

Well I probably have the worst one which is New kids on the block. But I was 8 so I don't think that one counts.

Awww shit..............I gotta correct myself. I just remembered this when jay420 mentioned Vanilla Ice.

Although Barenaked Ladies, with their stupid joking and dancing around on stage was pretty craptastic, nothing tops the Maestro Fresh Wes show I saw in grade 9......................so lame.

I can't believe I forgot all about that. Must have been a repressed memory.

BNL used to put on a rather entertaining show.

- cferneyh - 07-22-2004

Def Leppard. God help me.

- thehip11 - 07-22-2004

Alanis Morrisette. A girlfriend dragged me years ago when that stupid album with her naked in the video came out. Worst person you could ever see live. She's bending over half the time screaming at the ground.

I once saw The Monkees.
And Weird Al opened up.
Seriously.

Dana... I'm afraid you win
