if there actually is a season

The one game I always like to go to, and sit as close as possible within the first couple rows (normally I chill up in the 300, 15 buck seats) is the Colorado Avalanche. Last year I feel we got screwed by not getting the Avs in town. That is one game, aside from Toronto and Boston where sales are really good. I had to drive to Pittsburgh to see em this year. So I will surely be checking out the schedule release to see if we get em this year. Sorry, but I'm a huge Forsberg fan.

Do I think there will be a season next year - nope, I'm going with this based on info from a friend who worked for the Florida Panthers...basically says word id that there is about a 90% chance at no season. Hope he's wrong!

cool! thanks for the info, I was wondering when it came out, just the other day I swear!
Gonna go check and see who the Canuckle-heads are hosting this year.
All for now,
Aaron

Avs play Sabres March 15

- Tthip - 07-14-2004

March 15th.
Is that the home opener?

- anesthesiologist - 07-14-2004

yea I eventually got it, guess I was just impatient for it to be on the net. Looks like the Canucks a have couple of good homestands and I think minus the Rangers we get the rest of the Original Six this year!
All for now,
Aaron

on mapleleafs.com says they've got 82 games...I thought they were shrinking the season to 72?

- MikeS - 07-15-2004

I'm thinking they'll be shrinking it much more than that...

Seriously though, it's not a sure thing yet...The change to a 72-game sched will likely be part of the new CBA negotiations if/when they start...Specifically, they'll have to work out what happens to existing contracts (which have been signed for an 82-game schedule)...I doubt owners will want to pay players for 10 games they don't have to play, especially when they'll have 5 fewer home gates to generate revenue...

Ahh that's right, forgot about that whole lockout thing...wishful thinking.
