Had I not just had a daughter a week ago today, I may have overlooked this song on the new album.... but damned if I don't think that it's the best one on the album. Being a new father, I can now see where a lot of Gord's lyrics are coming from. Funny how your perspective on things can change... having a child come into my life has even changed the way I look at the Hip...
What a beautiful song... I may just have to give Throwing Off Glass (about Gord D's daughter) another listen...

I agree Rory... Had some friends and family around last night in the backyard for a barby-q.... with the new Hip Cd on I walked over.... turned it up a notch on Are We Family....then I headed back over to flip the burgers and watch my daughter & best friend's son race around the yard giggling while everyone not-knowingly nodded...on to the new tune.....
