Someone posted in the "comments" section under the newest topic on the main page, that the Hip are playing the Kee To Bala this coming Saturday? Can anyone confirm this or add any more information?

The Kee does seem to be mysteriously un-booked for that night. It's probably the only weekend in the whole summer with no one scheduled to perform. I wonder...

i actually wouldnt doubt its gonna happen since three days grace all of a sudden appeared as preforming on june 26 and they are in the middle of a USA tour right now

I've emailed the kee and joined the kee's forum to see if I could dish up any information. I'll let everyone know what I find out if anything at all.

My older sister saw the boys play The Kee in the Davis Manning days. It got a little rough on the dance floor. She's still has the torn, stone-washed, AC/DC patched jean jacket to prove it!
I'd love to carry on the family tradition at the Kee...

yeah.. I suppose it does.. I love going to the Kee to see bands play.. however, I went to one of two gigs for Blue Rodeo on the May 2-4 weekend.. *Sold Out* was grossly understated.. I have never seen the Kee.. so jammed packed before..
hock: Keep us informed.. it would be cooool to see The Tragically Hip play.. 8)
I thought Molson Amphitheatre Canada Day was going to be my first gig.. hmmm.. guess we are making up for lost time and missed shows :lol:

I heard this rumour too, and was skeptical (a friend of a friend of a friend is the owner's son kind of thing). However, I'm crossing my fingers that I'll now have plans for Saturday night. One of my best concert expereinces was Sam Roberts in Bala last June.

I think you should get your friend to call his friend and see what's up with the show. I was there last year for that Sam Roberts show as well. I remember that weekend well as we drove back to Oakville after the show all night.

I just called The Kee to Bala and their hotline says nothing about a concert this Saturday night. The concert details start on June 26th with Three Days Grace playing.
It's a good posibility thehip might be there but I wouldn't hold your breath really. I wanted to speak to someone in person but no such luck.
Keep your ears peeled. Ya never know...
