http://www.thehip.com was just updated and it looks like puretracks is running a contest for 2 tickets to the July 1st show. Includes airfare, spending money, etc. Since it's puretracks, its open to Canadian residents only...so to my friends up North...good luck! :thumb:

OMG! I live in British Columbia but the company I work for is in Baltimore Maryland and in order to work on the servers there I have to use a VPN connection which changes my IP to be one of thiers and I can't even view puretracks.com right now because I am connected via the VPN! I've never seen anyone really use IP screening to keep other countries out of a site.. I've seen many that will not allow you to purchase goods if you are not based in a specific country but to actually restrict viewing! wow! Guess I have to finish work before I can enter the contest lol

I can't tell you how impressed I am with this.
My favorite band is Van Halen, who are starting a comeback tour tonight.
A week or so ago they had a private rehearsal in LA and their official site ran a contest to give away tickets. The thing is, NOTHING was provided to the winners except the tickets, and the draw was only 4 days prior to the show itself!
To see a contest like this with airfare, hotel, and spending money in addition to the tickets themselves is amazing! :thumb:

Funny, the last time the Hip played Darien Lake, Sammy Hagar and David Lee Roth were supposed to play the Friday night before the Hip on Saturday. They cancelled, because they wanted to kill each other. Their tour was cancelled after that. The campground wasn't in a good mood that night.

Actually, the Roth/Hagar show was supposed to be on the Saturday, the Hip played on the Sunday. I had tix for both shows.

The Movie Network in Canada was broadcasting "Family Business" which is a Showtime program, so I wanted to check it out on the web, but sadly, as jkdiamond mentioned, they block users from outside of the States. We get their programs, but can't check out their website????

Because the hip club is a joke. Half the people with cards can't even get into their account...including me.
Customer support is useless.
