Obscure Thought About the Coming of Summer - Dudley - 06-04-2004

Sitting here scratching my newly aquired blackfly bites, I have come to the realization that my day dreams during the cold bitter winter months of nice warm summer days has come true. Looking back I can't beleive how fast the time went. The birds are chirping, the dandelions are back to brighten up my pathetic excuse of a lawn, and yes the vampire like swarms of insects are back. Oh yeah I am thankful now for this wonderful short and sandals weather, but I can't help recall last August when I almost wished for the -35 arctic like cold. Am I crazy?? Am I doomed to live this unnatural existence between loving summer and hating summer in a matter of 2 months???? The only solace I collect for this August is the fact that I will be able to hopefully see my favourite band performing there new album in a outdoor setting. Am I the only one? Or am I just feverish from all the toxins injected into my skin from the mosquito's?
