i won`t even pretend to be a musician so i was wondering if anyone had an opinion on whether or not god has a guitar in his hands on these first 2 releases? personally i think(hope) not.just imagining these tunes live and gord is perhaps more animated than usual.one mans thoughts.

i doubt it on Vaccination Scar, but I can see him strumming on Summer Is Killing Us. Has a definite "Gord Solo" feel to it, would make for a cool video with Gord sitting on a lawn chair, big brimmed hat, shorts, Hawaiin shirt, strumming the guitar

Actually, I think it's quite possible that Gord is playing a little rhythm guitar on
Vac. Scar. If what has been said is true regarding the production of IBE (no overdubs), then I would have to assume that Gord is strumming along. I have yet to hear
Summer (Thanks, boys! Sincerely,
American TTH fans), but the guitars sound awfully "full" on
Vac. Scar. Aside from Paul's rhythm (iso. on the intro) and Rob's lead (slide), it sounds like there is an additional acoustic rhythm line filling out the track.
Take a close listen and see if y'all agree.....

Keep in mind Gord has started playing electric guitar and did some solos last summer on his album/tour. Personally I'd like to see him keep his guitar playing to his solo work...his guitar is almost like an anchor and takes so much life out of songs live. Last tour I was really disappointed when he played guitar on "All Tore Up" and started playing guitar on "Springtime In Vienna".
