MP3/Computer help - sabatooch - 05-13-2004
Hi All,
I am quite dumb when it comes to computers, but I am having a huge problem with my MP3 player- when i try and connect the usb cable from my computer to the player i get a "usb device not recgnized message". Now, my first instinct was to check the player on another computer to ensure that it was not defective- when i hooked up the usb to another comp, it recognized it right away and set up all the new hardware. I;ve tried everything, does anyone know a solution so i can get this thing back u and running. Thanks for reading.

What OS are you using? You may need to install or download software in order for it to be properly recognized.

Windows XP. It was working before, it just started saying this a few days ago

Get a Mac, and an iPod; that was my solution.
Try reinstalling the drivers/software.
Did you install any new software since the last time it worked? That may be your problem.
