The Weakest Link - Bronze Medallists - Round 2 - gsmacleod - 04-28-2018

Last American Exit is eliminated and we're on to Round 2.

14 - Last American Exit

Vote for the song you think is weakest amongst the remaining third place finishers. After 48 hours, the song with the most votes will be eliminated. In the event of a tie, both (or more) song will be eliminated.

This poll will end Monday at 10:37am Eastern.

Sorry, I agree with What Blue, but INOIB and Stay are both great tunes that stand up against the rest. 38 Years Old is next on my list, after WB.

Yes, I haven't decide where exactly INOIB and Stay fall on my list but they aren't close to my chopping block yet. Both great songs. Right now, its The Kids Don't Get It, and then it's going to be 38 Years Old or What Blue.

5 albums released by the Hip in the '90s. The 5 songs from those albums have 1 vote COMBINED right now. I really like and appreciate their later stuff but those '90s albums were just unbelievably good.

The high points on the later albums (e.g. Morning Moon, Machine) come close to rivaling the best of the 90's stuff, but where the 90's run reigns supreme is in album depth. The 5th best song on FC, DFN, TATH, or PP is better than the second or third best song on most of the 2000's albums.

Truth. I always try to convince myself that the later albums are as good as that run, but the depth you mention is what kills that argument. Every band has its glory years, I guess, and that shouldn't be a strike against the overall catalogue.
