With a tie between two for the third place spot, we will eliminate two songs and carry on to Round 2.
Eliminated Round 1
Frozen In My Tracks
Now The Struggle Has A Name
Vote for the song you believe to be the weakest on We Are The Same and after 48 hours, we will remove the three songs that have the most votes. As before, a song must have at least 10% of the vote in order to be removed otherwise it will carry forward into the following round.

GOODBYE "COFFEE GIRL" (trying this again). Words cannot express my contempt for you.

I’ve had it up to my tits with The Exact Feeling. (Am I doing this right?)

Anyone voting for (against) coffee girl is a mysoginist. Their vote is rooted in sexism and any other ists/isms I choose to throw at people who disagree with me!
Jk, I too voted strategically for covfefe girl both rounds to try and save songs I prefer on this album. Always felt to me like a waste of the momentum that could have built into/around honey please and last recluse. While Im on the sequencing topic, recluse could have been a great album closer!
Coffe girl worked well in live acoustic sets; but a song that I might have enjoyed more if sequenced differently on a Hip album or anywhere on a GD solo album.

Coffee Girl is excellent. I just don't get the hate.
'Furrows' is a disaster and gets my vote, again.

I will respect your opinion, as long as you accept the fact that it is wrong.

Voted Queen of the Furrows for this round, although I could have just as easily picked the Exact Feeling or Speed River.

Queen of the Farewells.
Could have also voted Exact Feeling.

As someone who does not like Depression Suite, it seems this will be a very boring poll for me, voting for that song until the bitter end, and losing. That song has so much Bob Rock sheen on it, which I thought most fans disliked. Yet this song seems to be beloved. Don’t really get it.
I dig all these:
Country Day
Love is a First
The Last Recluse
Morning Moon
Coffee Girl
Queen of the Furrows
This Exact Feeling

I hear where you're coming from on this. We complain about the Bob Rock touch and then profess to love a song that's got Bob Rock's fingerprints all over it. It's The Depression Suite Paradox. For me, the song feels cinematic in scope and the orchestration is additive as opposed to the strings on songs like Struggle, Country Day and World Container, where they detract from the final product. There isn't a lot going on guitar-wise until Rob's solo in the last third and the strings help fill in those gaps without burying memorable licks or riffs. That's my impression. I've got it at either the number two or number three slot in the album rankings (Morning Moon is firmly entrenched in the top spot).
