I really love this. It's my favorite "eulogy" and I have thought of it often since seeing it shortly after it was published. I still have the same reaction to it, which is pretty powerful. It's such a humanizing piece about simple kindnesses and interactions over mundane life events, but really captures our hero's everyman-ness. It just makes me admire him that much more. It's literally made me think about what kind of neighbor I am, what kind of person I am. Anyway, thanks for posting for me to see again and for others to see maybe for the first time. Feeling the loss right now.
