The Weakest Link - Trouble at the Henhouse - Round 2 -
gsmacleod - 11-12-2017
No big surprises in Round 1 with Coconut Cream dominating the vote and Butts Wigglin' earning enough votes to be eliminated as well.
Eliminated Round 1
Coconut Cream
Butts Wigglin'
Vote for the song you believe to be the weakest remaining on Trouble at the Henhouse and after 48 hours, we'll eliminate the three songs with the most votes. As before, a song must have 10% of the vote in order to be eliminated.
This round will end Tuesday at 10:32am Eastern.
Happy voting,
Shane

Finally get my chance to vote the tiresome "Sherpa" off the island! I almost chose it over "Coconut Cream" last time. At least the latter song is harmless fun, rather than being boring.

Went with Sherpa as well; I enjoy it but compared to the rest that are remaining, it is certainly the weakest remaining for me.

Happy that Sherpa is leading the way to oblivion, but what the hell are 'Put It Off' and '700 Ft Ceiling' doing so close to the front????

Apartment Song. Not much going on there. At least Sherpa has that cool weird guitar sound (Paul?), some great lyrics (hammock to the stars, staring into the fire before TV, we must be friends or die and we've died a thousand times since then) and a great coda.

What the heck?!?!! 700 ft Ceiling is being eliminated? That's one of the best songs on the album!

I voted Sherpa, even though I love that song. It's just not quite at the same level as the others.

Wow, surprised to see the dislike of Sherpa. I wouldn't rank it as one of their best, but I always thought is was a pretty strong track overall.
This one is a tough one for me and I choose to stay anonymous for this round, and I hate that for the things I'm thinking.....

Sherpa? Seriously?
Some of you have conspired against old friends.
We said we must be friends or die.
And we've died a thousand times since then.
We're at the point where we love or hate it.
We can write it down and obliterate it.

Cmon people! One more vote for Apartment Song to keep my predictions correct!
Apartment Song is a rip off of Beauty and the Beast. Talking teacups. Pffft.

Apartment Song is something hitherto absent from the Hip's catalogue: playful whimsy. It's not a major work, but it has its place as an attractive minor tune, and that 'horrible aesthete' is an interesting character. I'd like it more if it had been sped up slightly.
It seems ridiculous to me that ANYONE would rate it ahead of 700-Ft Ceiling, however.
