Live Releases - Tomacco - 11-12-2017

Wondering if anyone can help me figure this out. What shows have been released live? Are the only official live releases the 6 Vaults, the Canada Day 2004 Toronto show, Live Between Us, That Night in Toronto, and the Fully Completely live release? It feels like such a tremendous shame that there are no live show releases from the Music at Work tour, the 2-set 2009 tour, or anything really from 2009 onward (thankfully we have rips of the final show broadcast).
As a huge live Hip fan, it's mystifying to me how few live releases I have on my computer. Wondering if I'm missing any.

Re: Live Releases - direwolf74 - 11-12-2017

There were two other shows released on Livedownloads.com (now called Nugs.net):

11/27/04 London, ON
11/28/04 Ottawa, ON

Along with the others you mentioned, that's pretty much it for official live albums. I expect we'll eventually see more live stuff released in the coming years, either individually a-la Pearl Jam, or maybe packaged together in a box set of some kind. It's well known that the band had been recording all their live shows since around '95, so they obviously have mountains of material sitting in the vault.

Re: Live Releases - WillyB - 11-12-2017

I like the idea of a pearl jam type shoe box filled with live shows.
This is my wish.

Re: Live Releases - mattnl - 11-15-2017

I wish they release more too, but to be honest - they have quite a lot of live shows released. Around 15 is not bad at all! I know a lot of bands who have released 0 or a number close to that.

The only 'official' physical release is Live Between Us, live dvd' and the bonus disc on the Fully Completely Deluxe Edition (Horseshoe '92 show). The other are all downloads. Do these count as official releases?

I wish they continued the Live From the Vault series. I'm no expert at all when it comes to Hip shows (yet ;-), but I am sure they have tons of material to choose from.

Re: Live Releases - SRK - 11-15-2017

There were 6 (?) songs from a festival show from the summer before world container came out that was released on iTunes. My memory is shot as to what date, though.

It was the Austin City Limits Festival that September I think?

Correct. It's the only "unofficial" live Hip on Spotify as well. 7 songs (Courage, Rink, Gus, BobC, Poets, 100th, and Blow) from September 15, 2006... ACL Festival.

Weren't some of the Vaults released as physical media? Or am I imagining that?

As far as the official releases are concerned, the board mixes were great but I've heard so many shows via audience bootlegs that I don't really feel that I'm missing out as only having limited live releases.

Volume 4 had a physical release in the We Are The Same deluxe pack. It came with a mini-milk crate, We Are The Same CD, Live From The Vault Volume 4 CD, and a We Are The Same t-shirt.

I just remembered reading about the Bobcaygeon bluray. Is it an entire live show or it more like a documentary?
It's hard to get here in Europe (Netherlands at least). Never seen it unfortunately.

not many live tracks at all. Most of it is footage of fans telling their stories, the local show planners, and some people from the town.
