Toughest choice this poll will ever see. My favourite two Hip songs ever. Heck, maybe my two favourite songs by anyone ever! But decisions must be made...and right now I hear Gord screaming those cryptic words of "Him? Here? Now? No!" in my head...and that's giving Grace, Too the edge. So my selection is quick, the song is picked, and Nautical Disaster is kicked off my pantleg and I'm headed for home.

These were the results back in 2007 when we did the NCAA format

They faced each other in the semi-finals: Nautical beat Grace 42 votes to 41

Grace Too is probably getting a boost from being the anthem and catharsis of the MMP Tour, where it was by far the greatest of all the songs and performances night after night. And maybe for that it deserves to win.

But for me personally, gotta be Nautical -- my private anthem as an 18-20 year old.

Wow. I would have put money on Nautical winning this. Grace is an epic opener but come on, Nautical Disaster might be the best song written in Canadian history.

Voted for Grace, as ND is about as perfect a song you can get. The album version is perfect, and incredibly haunting. I love Rob's solo, maybe his best recorded one ever. It fits the song so well. And while Grace is an epic live song, the studio version, while awesome, falls slightly below ND, by a small margine. And dont sleep on the Live Between Us version of ND, because it is a beast.

I don't disagree with you, which is why this whole exercise is completely insane and unfair. If you asked me what my two favorite Hip songs of all time are, I would tell you that Grace and Nautical are tied for the #1 spot for different reasons. I'm not sure I want to play this game anymore, as it hurts my heart.
