The sole nomination battle of the nudes received was for best artwork....

That's too bad. Of all the Hip and GD artwork, I think only M@W is worse than BOTN. I dunno, it's just not modest enough. A kid with angel wings and guns? It's beating you over the head with the symbolism, as opposed to the intricate subtleties that make GD's poems work on so many levels...I mean, I get why a non-aesthete might like it, but I like my artwork to be a little more complex and elusive. I guess "enigmatic" is the word I'm looking for. Like TATH...it's pretty obvious what the image on the cover is, but it's so obscure and unusual that we don't really know what it represents.
Just an opinion...and it doesn't detract from my appreciation of the music at all...

I love that artwork. Actually, the only artwork I don't like is M@W and the LP. I think we've reached the point where the Hip don't get nominations, just cuz they've got so many junos already.
