That was one of the most powerful things I've ever watched. Beautiful and heartbreaking in equal measure.

I noticed Sarah Polley's name in the credits as a producer. Had no idea she was involved.

One day I hope to be able to get through the album without any tears. What a sad, horrible story. Likewise to what Gord said, it makes me very ashamed as a Canadian.

As for the film & its message, I thought it was very powerful and moving. Everything about the music has already been expressed better than I ever could. As an artist, there were so many scenes/transitions that were so well done - the words on the chalkboard/Ontario map morphing from letters into symbols and then those letters flying up into the sky when Chanie burns the map, all of the "snapshots" of his past at the school following him as he walks down the tracks, the feathers turning into the locks of hair being cut.
