Two of them:
If heading back to Toronto after the show (knowing it will be crowded as hell) are there any parking areas I should avoid and other areas near the rink to go to (even if it requires a 5-10 minute walk)...looking to avoid the crush a bit..
Any pub recommendations for pre show drinks/dinner/fun....not looking for any fancy - just quality pub food and good atmosphere close to rink...
I think Hamilton is gonna be Winnipeg like loud...cant wait
Thanks!! :music

There is a the Hip Fundraiser at Stonewalls at 339 York Blvd. which is a 8 minute walk to the First Ontario Place.
As for parking and being busy, probably park somewhere outside a 10 minute walk and it shouldn't be too bad. Around stonewalls, you should be able to find some street parking on one of the residential streets around there.

There is lots of parking on the *west* side of Bay street across from the venue. Also on the south east intersection of King and Bay (1 block away), and underground under Jackson Square \ Sheraton. Many good bars on Hess St (Hess Village), and the Anchor Bar in Jackson Square if you like buffalo wings with yer beer.

Or head to Augusta St which is has several good places with craft beers

Re: Hamilton Questions -

Train and bus terminal are on 36 Hunter St. E., Hamilton, ON L8N 3W8, about 15-20 minute walk from the venue. If you are taking the GO bus you may be able to get off at Main and Bay two blocks away from FOC.

There is a Go Bus stop at Main St and Summers Lane. Right in front of City Hall, across from Hamilton Place. A couple minute walk to FOC from there.

This guy, Chancellor, has only ever been to Stonewall's once, and it was too see Frank D'Angelo. In fact he just recommended to me that I not go to Stonewall's. Beware.
The Augusta street recommendation is a good one, though.
