Anyone here watch the show 24?

Anyway, last night I was watching another great episode of this show and the President's ex wife made mention of Chagrin Falls. She said it on the phone and I can't remember just how she said it, but I'd imagine she was telling the person on the other end of the phone just how great the song is. :wink:

Seriously though, the show is pretty good. :thumb:

I've been a huge Elisha Cutherbert fan for years...lol, I'm only going on 21 so that's allowed :p

I don't really like the show, but she's been my celebrity crush since the Popular Mechanics For Kids days.

I'll be 27 in a few days, and she's my secret crush!

Check her out in Old School... oh yeah!!

24 is a good show but I don't agree with Mark that it's the best show to ever be on TV. The X-files was! Tongue hehe.

The first 2 seasons of 24 were good and what I liked to do was download the shows off the net and watch 3-5 of them in a row so the storyline flowed better than waiting a week at a time. This season I am about 3 weeks behind but have them on my harddrive to watch.

sherpahigh,

Yeah, I heard it too...if memory serves, the phone call was in regards to Sherry digging up dirt on Milligan, which somehow involved "Chagrin Falls"...

I couldn't get the opening riff of the song out of my head for the remainder of the episode... :lol:

It makes you wonder, what with all the Can-Con on 24, if they needed a town name for the plot and someone thought of that song.....??? Probably not, but it'll be something to keep an eye on (a la all the Canuck references on the Simpsons...)... :thumb: :thumb:

On the Elisha Cuthbert thing, my son still watches "Popular Mechanics for Kids" in syndication...I find it hard to reconcile that "Elisha" with this one:

<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0265208/">http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0265208/</a><!-- m -->

<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://movies.yahoo.com/movies/feature/thegirlnextdoor.html">http://movies.yahoo.com/movies/feature/ ... tdoor.html</a><!-- m -->

She's come a LONGGG way...

:lol:

As for 24 itself, I can't see it sustaining much past this or next season...Like High, I've noticed a bit of a drop-off in storyline/plot this year...still, right now it's one of the few "must-see" shows I make an effort to watch "live" each week (ie. rather than VCRing)...

Good to hear I didn't dream the whole thing up. I had the song in my head for the rest of the show too. :lol:

I don't buy that whole drop off in storyline/plot though. Too me it's still fresh every show. They always find a way to twist it up and leave me wanting more every show. And the scene in the prison this season with the russian roulette! And then pulling the trigger on Chases head later? Still plenty going on to keep me watching. :thumb:

Don't get me wrong, I certainly HOPE it continues well past next year, but there's only so much they can do to Jack before it becomes unbelievable...

You're right, they never allow you to get too comfortable (exhibit A - the last 10 seconds on Tuesday), but most of the current characters have a limited shelf-life...

Maybe they'll bump Keifer Sutherland's character "upstairs" and start doing plots around Chase? Also, the presidential thing will lose steam eventually (just ask the good folks over at NBC)...what happens when Palmer's tenure comes to an end?

Ok, now I've gone and stimulated my brain into thinking about possible tangential plot-twists...just another reason why this show is so addictive!!!
