Song you're surprised hasn't been played yet? -

Four shows in, I've gotta say I'm surprised they haven't played Nautical Disaster yet. Anyone else surprised by what they *haven't* played so far?

My gut reaction is to mention "Fire In The Hole" - but it's pretty "intense" in terms of the energy required, and while Gord is indeed putting on great shows, I don't know if he might be trying to keep some "reserve energy" available as contigency (having said that, I certainly wouldn't expect them to play it as much as Grace Too).
Even if that isn't the case, DFN is well stocked with good material - they've "spread the love" for it fairly well so far (3 sets over 4 shows, playing 7 of 14 songs; and frankly, it would be great if they played every DFN song eventually, but they probably won't play all 14), leading me to believe that both Nautical and Fire will make their appearances eventually.
Actually, if Edmonton #2 matches the energy level of Edmonton #1, I could see them playing Fire to end the "main set", or the first encore set.

Nautical - far and away the biggest surprise of songs not yet played on tour. FITH and It's A Good Life... would be the other two.

Yeah, really surprised that What Blue has been a constant in every show. Great Soul, Here, In the Dark, and Hot Mic all seem like they were written to be performed live.

Nautical and here, in the dark. I was really expecting day for Night to open last night and we would see scared and nautical. Was very happy when the played Daredevil because I knew DFN was up....Scared was amazing so 1/2 isn't bad

I too thought Here, in the Dark would be great live, and really hoped to hear Hot Mic and Great Soul in the live setting too. And somebody noted earlier in another thread what a great slow burn opening that Man could provide, like the Grace, Too build ... hope to hear these other new tunes as the tour moves east.
PS: hoping this post makes it on the forum timely - there seems to be a big delay between me posting and seeing the post. Do posts need Administrator approval? I'm new to the forum ... :thumb:

Definitely Nautical Disaster and no IVL yet are the biggest surprises. Here's hoping I get both tomorrow night in Calgary!

I agree with the limited mmp songs. I'd love to hear Hot Mic, Man and Here In The Dark. Nautical and IAGLIYW are obvious ommissions.... I'm betting we get the ILV set soon. Nautical is probably difficult to pull off because it is one big poem. If the band and GD get flip flopped on the chord sequence, it could be trouble....without a chorus to get them back on track...my two cents
