Can someone explain the ticket verification process please -

I may not be able to arrive as the same time as the rest of my party for this show. I am the card holder - I have three ppl in my party. One may be late.
How has this process worked?

Not sure how it works "up there", but in the US (expat Canadian here), the purchaser typically has to show up with their entire party and present the ID and credit card of the purchaser to get the tickets. At some venues, you are then "shuffled" directly into the venue (i.e. the barricades direct you to the entry gates).
I'm sure someone will provide more info - just wanted to give you "something" as a reply, before I hijack your thread somewhat.
;-)
I just have a brief sidebar question - if you have an actual "paper ticket" (i.e. something with a bar code and actual section/row/seat info; in my case, from StubHub) - do they check against the "purchaser" name listed on the ticket? Or is the ID check just for the "premium" sections?

Would also like to know! I bought tickets for my brother in law so I don't know if I need to accompany him to the door with my credit card before I go to my seats or what? He does have the print-off from ticketmaster thought so I'm hoping that'll be enough.

Paperless ticket the whole party has to be with the credit card purchaser

With credit card entry, you give them you card and they ask you if this is everyone in your party (answer has to be yes). Then they give you everyone little slips of paper with your section and seat. You show this to security to get access to the floor. They are pretty strict about keeping everyone in their own section on the floor too.

I have not used CC entry yet but... There is a post on here with this jackass scalping tickets and talking about it and being proud how his group beats the system and deprives the fans of tickets. He stated how they use credit cards to purchase the tix and then cancel the card and they ship the card and the tix to the buyer so the buyer uses the canceled card for entry which I have to assume does not have the buyers name.

I thought you had to have photo ID as well as the credit card used to purchase.

They didn't check any ID in Vancouver, just the credit card. (Although I guess they reserve the right to.) Of course Kingston is smaller venue and the most scapable so they might be more strict there.

I bought 2 tickets for the august 12 toronto show from a ticket reseller. Will they be asking me for a credit card?

Neither my Toronto tickets or any other dates have a credit card entry restriction.
It is only for designated sections.

Unless you're on the floors or 100s close to the stage, you're probably safe.

I'm in the same boat as you. I scored a single floor Row 13 to Ottawa, but had to use my mom's CC since Capital Tickets doesn't accept Visa Debit. My Driver's License address matches hers and I'll bring her ID and CC to the show to be safe. Hopefully they let me in, or I'll definitely raise a fuss how they would deny entry for somebody who actually obtained tickets through the pre sale, but will let in tickets sold at multiple times face value...
