Ive sat lower tier backstage for other shows - never balcony

Fantastic and highly recommended

Id take low tier backstage over other end of rink tickets or similar quality anyday

Not sure with the configuration for this show, but other acts Ove seen have been well worth it

Very cool perspective

The only band I've seen from behind is Pearl Jam and it was AMAZING! Not one complaint...a very cool perspective. It also helps that big venues have big video screens now too....and premium sound all around the stage...

Have done Pearl Jam twice rear stage and both times were fantastic. Definitely a different perspective and well worth it.

I did for Neil Young @ ACC (Toronto) and they were fantastic!

I also did for City and Colour in St Catharines (Meridian Centre) and they were even better...smaller venue (obviously)

I've sat "semi behind stage" (a little further than side stage but not directly behind) at the ACC for both The Stones during their Forty Licks Tour at The Hip on their World Container Tour. Both had pretty barren, old school stage set ups with nothing really blocking the view, so both times were great. You do get a different perspective and Mick seemed to cater to those seats a bit more, just seemed a bit more intimate of a show in a way.

Based on Victoria and Vancouver videos, it looks like the stage is pretty open, so I definitely would not be worrying too much, they should be fantastic seats.

behind the stage close to the stage is definitely better than upper level anywhere else...Hip has no back drop and I'm guessing they will play the rear of the stage a little...sound will be fine, I have seen phish behind the stage dozens of times, in a big venue its a great spot.

Seriously, my guess is that it would depend on what you want out of the show. I'm personally not fond of the "rear view" perspective, so i went with the "straight on, but far away" option for the one show i m seeing.

If i was going to more than one show, then maybe i'd think about getting lower level rear or rear side seats for one show - but that's just me.

Lots of rear stage 300 levels came up for Ottawa the other day but I've yet to see anything rear-stage at 100 level.

I came across this photo online -- rear view of The Hip show in Vancouver. Looks like HUGE screens on side and back. Plus, the stage set up is quite sparse, so overall it looks pretty decent.

I had pretty much the same seats as that photo above for Calgary #2 and it was awesome!! Better in some respects than the 100 level centre ice seats I had for Vancouver #2.

There's something special from those rear seats watching Gordie walk off the stage. He looked right at us, nodded and waved.
