Justin Rutledge: Daredevil - Ry222 - 04-15-2014

Not sure if this has been mentioned yet, but this guy is putting out an album of all Hip covers. He's got a great voice and I'm liking what I'm hearing! It's out Apr. 22. You can stream it here:

I sat down with Justin a few weeks back to talk the record. The conversation will be posted next week. He's a smart musician who's got a genuine love of the band but took great risks to rearrange the tracks and showcase the lyrics first and foremost.

Thanks for the link. I really like the way he's interpreted these songs. I always say if you're gonna do an album of cover tunes, you have to at least make them unique and make them your own in a way. And he's done that here. Very cool album.

Thanks for the link! Only two songs in so far but I really like what he's done with Springtime.

That was an awesome cover. The music video is also a great accompanying piece. Great to see he also brought the song to life for his music video.

Wow - this cover needs to be on Son's of Anarchy.....would really fit with the music on that show!
