Hello,

sorry if this has been covered already.. i know the drill. The Hip do an album one year and tour the other year, sometimes adding shows here and there...they are getting a little long in the tooth though, and i'm worried that this will have to all end sometime.

Any rumors about shows this year? Planning a couple of short vacations with the wife and we'd love to go back to Ontario again to see the boys. I just need to block off a few days to do it.

Also, if they play down by us (Chicago) and any of you Ontario folks want to come down to check out Chicago and see the show, you are welcome to stay at our house. We've never met a Hip fan that wasn't friendly...full disclosure, we don't know many Hip fans, but hey!

You must be itching for a show since they cancelled the Aurora, IL show. I was down there for a Pearl Jam / Hip weekend and was extremely disappointed when it didn't go as planned.

As for the future shows question - no rumours have been floating around

Heard an announcement today on Detroit radio....Tragically Hip May 11th at the Magic Stick. Thought that was kinda weird since it's a super tiny venue (basically just a side stage at The Majestic). Came here to see if there was a new album or tour. Not seeing anything. Went to Magic Stick website....it's actually a Gord and the Sadies show. I probably didn't catch the beginning and they probably said Gord Downie OF The Tragically Hip May 11th at the Magic Stick. Anyway, not a Hip show after all.

thanks for the update...looks like i will be buying tickets to see Gord Downie The Sadies and The Conquering Sun for the Lincoln Hall, Chicago concert on May 10th.

it ain't the Hip, but i'm guessing that Gord will be Gord and that's worth the $20.

The Magic Stick is a great small venue. I have been there to see many shows and it is one of my favorites in Detroit. The venue website states a 275 person GA capacity. The fans are right next to the 2 foot high stage which makes for an intimate setting. Looking forward to this one.
