A Tragically Hip Photography Experience - Tthip - 05-24-2013
A Tragically Hip Photography experience coming to fans this summer. MAv. - that's me - will, at select shows - escort a fan and their photography gear around for an exclusive Live Tragically Hip Photo Experience - so you can take concert photos like never before.
I'd like your input as to how to choose the person. A list of shows where this will happen is in the works and the person will need to have a ticket to the show already and be on our email list. I will arrange for their gear to clear security and escort them into the pit and around the venue for part of the show and then back to their seat. I'm thinking it will be about 4-6 songs.
We'll feature your best shots on the site and our social networks and ... this experience will come with a custom "Pigeon Camera" t-shirt too.
In other news, I'll be hosting - tweet-up's - throughout Europe before each show and am looking for locations nearby to gather.

I hope to shoot the Cobourg show.With the presale BS, followed by MAv sorting out tickets for me to be picked up at willcall(dont know where im sitting ,but hoping for something special...............this will be my 6 year old daughters 1st show and shes crazy about the Hip,she will be wearing a "Dont Wake Daddy shirt".This has all the Hallmarks of being picked to take this on,please MAv consider my daughter and I for the Cobourg show!

I hope these opportunities go to loyal longtime fans instead of bandwagoners. Especially those who have contributed to the hip community with audio, video and other selfless stuff through the years. Good luck to all hipbase photographers trying for a spot!

I should be picked. The guy behind me at the Guelph show tapped me on the shoulder at one point and asked me to put my camera down because it was distracting. :oops: I don't want to distract anybody else, so I should move right into the pit.

My girlfriend and I are HUGE Hip fans! We would be honoured to take pictures for such a fantastic event. Please keep us in mind Mav. If not we are not selected, here's hoping a true fan from HipBase.com is!
