Did TTH play in Italy in '93? - briansmccabe - 12-15-2003

Hi everyone -

I have a recording of The Hip that I am having a hard time verifying information on. It was given to me by a friend in Canada and it is in mp3 format on a CDR along with several other shows. The directory on the CDR says the show was in Milan, Italy and the date is listed as "??/??/93."

Does anyone know anything about this show? Rory's old trading page doesn't have it, and the setlist database here at HipBase doesn't show anything on it either. It's the only show I have that lacks verifiable information.

It's a misdate - I figured out yesterday AFTER burning it and wasting a disc that I already had it. The correct date is 1993-02-08 Nachtwerk, Munich, Germany. There is a Hipcover for it and everything. I only figured it out by going through several years of setlists and matching my songs to those on Munich...

Oh and by the way, is Bring It All Back cut off on your recording? Mine only runs 2:05...

Just a quick clarification - 2/8/93 is February 8th, right? and not August 2nd. I know different countries put the month first and some but the day first...

it is feb. 8/93. they didn't play any shows between july and sept. in 1993

well what are the dates of the ARA gigs then if they didn't do any shows between July and Sept.? Thats when they usually do ARA's. I was always confused about the dating of that gig,the one in question Confusedcratch: becuase I know in that version of pigeon camera when he does his monlogue when that dude runs across the stage,that song is labled that it comes from Italy but as we all know its from an ARA gig, gabbishe? and also since were on a roll with gigs in question... you know that glastonbury show? of course you do....anywho... sometime ago I got the Dallas Tree's gig that has those exact songs as Glastonbury and I pondered that well if this dallas gig is the Glastonbury gig then that rest of the Dallas gig is in soundboard quality but why wasnt it all realeased.......along with the rest of the glastonbury show.......i'm not sure if i'm followin what i'm sayin....but does that make sence :?
