The movie is pretty great.

Some of these questions might not make sense until you've seen the film however.

So, what's the movie like? Is it live clips, full songs, etc?

the movie has a lot of build up until the big day. they show them breaking ground on the first day. lots of interviews with the yokels. interviews with fans. the process of throwing a show. even town hall meetings on concerns. not much behind the scenes with the hip, which is dissapointing. i would love to see a lot more interaction with the boys. its there, just not enough. IMO. so they spend the whole first 45mins to 1hr buildling up to show time. the scenes in the bus two minutes prior to stage time are great, cool to see what mood they are in, how they are handling it. gord speaks little in those scenes, but when he does, its meaningful, he gives them his gameplan, to keep it small and intense, not running around the stage. the boys reply, we are with you, behind you no matter what., but if you want to cut loose we are with you too. great scene.

they take the stage, they do maybe 4-5 full songs, out of order. with various interviews taking place, the peak of the movie is bobcaygeon obviously....and they show the guys shooting the shit after the show in the bus...

good but not great for me.

one thing i gotta say is that it bothers me when Gord YELLS Grace, too. he doesnt sing this version. pure yelling. i have no idea what its like to step out to 25,000 people. adrenaline must be pumping, but still. he needs to tone that one down for me. you be the judge.

i feel lucky to have seen it, and it was very cool to see the q&a.

in the town hall meetings, one bar owner gets really uppity about the whole thing happening, and saying the buses for transport wont work. Andy Keen alluded to the fact that he had a point. id love the know the back story and what went down.
