We heard last night that the Canadian tour will most likely be an arena tour (not theatre).

Well that's a bummer. I can't afford to see them in the U.S. on this tour, so I was really hoping they'd play theaters for the Canadian dates. If I can somehow manage to get seats in the first few rows, maybe I'll go. If not, it looks like my only hope is to wait for a 2nd leg of U.S. dates...maybe in the spring? (crosses fingers)

Arenas don't necessarily mean a greatest hits tour though. Last time they played arenas was the '07 tour, and they were mixing things up pretty good during that stretch. That was also the tour where they were playing cover songs in the encores. So you never know.

Probably need to start a new thread on this subject but I agree on your list. I even wish ABAC would go back to baker playing acoustic the whole song. Personal preference of course. Only regulars I crave at every show are Grace and Bobcaygon....wishing, praying, hoping they rotate those others when the US dates start! No ragging, just a fan wanting to hear some great album cuts....

Enjoying last night's Ahead By A Century atm actually...

Has anybody heard anything about 2013 tour dates aside from that one tease as to when the Canadian tour was going down (Jan./Feb.)?

I always forget that it was back in 2007 when they last had an arena "tour". Here in Victoria, they played the arena twice in 2009 when they were playing theatres everywhere else on tour!

As for songs we're sick of, I'm only really tired of Music@Work. Maybe Courage and ABAC as well. But 100th and NOIS I don't tire of, because those are the songs that still have the greatest opportunity for improvisation which is always fun during shows.

If they never play 'fireworks' again, it'll still be too soon. Not particularly fussed about "it's a good life", "in view" or "ahead by a century" either. And it's almost unbelievable to say (imagine saying this 6 years ago), but "fiddler's green" is slowly entering that territory too. I've seen 9 shows in the time they've brought it back and it's been played at 6 of them.

That said, if they feel compelled to include 'poets' and 'grace too' in every set from now unto eternity, I'm totally fine with that.
