Hey folks! Been a while since i posted stuff here. While i was at work today a buddy of mine was over at the casino. He texted me that he was talkin to an employee at the buffet area who told him they just signed the hip for june 28. Anyone else hear anything? I would love to get the chance to see them again since last time i had the chance to go they had to cancel unfortunately in Halifax..
I saw Godie here at the casino in Moncton a few months back and it was a great show and he had a lot of energy that night, there was a girl with him to a special guest and i foget her name but she was also fantastic!

just noticed my typo on Gord's name in my post lol oops sorry Mr Downie.
i got some more clarification from another friend of mine who is a good source that this may be more than a rumor and to watch for an announcement soon. apparently the deal was just done yesterday or maybe the day before.

Julie Doiron, and i was there as well. I would love to see The Hip in that type of setting!

There are a number of different ways the venue can be set up for concerts. According to their website...
"Capacity for the venue is 1,800 seats in a concert setting with 630 retractable, tiered seats. The remaining seats in the venue are a large footprint venue seat to ensure the highest level of comfort. In a standing, general admission format the venue can accommodate up to 2400."
Personally, i would much rather see The Hip play here as opposed to the Coliseum. I've only been to the one show at the casino, Gord Downie, but thought the sound was incredible.

Well that's what i was told anyways. Turns out today's announcement for Moncton was the INXS show instead. The same people who told me about The Hip also said INXS were playing in July, so i'm still expecting it to happen. Still, i was disappointed when i read the dates this morning & didn't see Moncton listed!
