While organizing and running a charity golf tournament in honour of my brother, who passed away due to complications of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, two and a half years ago at the age of 18, my family was fortunate enough to meet a man who had lost his daughter at age 16 under similar circumstances. Ken (the father) was very supportive of my families charitable efforts and has helped us to raise over $40,000 for research in sudden arrhythmia death syndrome. He is holding a memorial benefit concert in honour of his daughter Taylor in Kingston on March 19th. There's going to be over 12 hours of local Kingston music (including 'Road Apples') and tonnes of amazing prizes to be auctioned/raffled off (I know there will be several Taylor Hall autographed memorabilia) all for only $10.
