This just came in through a text message from thehip.com:
"What would you want on a mobile version of thehip.com?"
Personally I would like to see an app where we can update live show setlists in real time, as well as something like TTH Radio. Being able to stream portions of a show in real time would be cool as well.

Real time live show setlists would be awesome! What about some way to communicate when actually at the show? Don't know if it would be easier just to go to twitter to do this or if it would make sense to have something embedded on the mobile version of the site?

Quick lyric look up would be cool. Sittin' in the park listening to the latest Hip album on your mp3 player, double checking on you phone what the main man just said in case you miss it the first time.
Easy to flip through some rockin' concert photos or random hip hangin' around. Optimized for mobile viewing.

I would love to be able to run questions like the "Top 5 Hip Albums as of Feb....." thread, by way of a mobile app. Everyone who's interested registers to participate and gets a notification when there's a new poll, and all the number-crunched stats are available to browse as well.

I don't know if we're talking about a mobile version of thehip.com or an actual mobile app, but whatever. Wilco, I think, has a cool iphone app, where it lists tour dates and then you can click on the city and get maps and stuff to do in the area. Useful for those of us who end up traveling to the Hip way more than the Hip end up traveling to us. Discography & lyrics would also be aces. News and updates.

This is funny, I searched the App Store on my iPhone just the other day for a Hip app but there wasn't anything. If they do create an app it should have everything the normal website has and maybe some featured mobile wallpapers would be neat too.
