Paul McCartney announces Toronto show in August

Nearly five years to the day since his last sold-out performance at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Paul McCartney will return to the same venue, according to announcements posted on Pollstar.com and PaulMcCartney.com.

McCartney and his band will perform one show, at 8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 8, according to the announcement.

Though he's not officially "on tour," McCartney has scheduled scattered dates in North America and Europe throughout the summer. This is in keeping with the trend started following the release of his recent "Memory Almost Full and "The Fireman: Electric Arguments albums where the former Beatle schedules his appearances with plenty of down time between them. McCartney, who will be 68 on June 18, has suggested that doing so allows him to present three-hour shows without the wear-and-tear a full tour itinerary might impose on his voice.

Tickets will go on sale to the public on Monday June 14th, at 12pm local time, through all Ticketmaster outlets, charge by phone at (416) 870-8000, or online at <a class="postlink" href="http://www.ticketmaster.ca">www.ticketmaster.ca</a>, the announcements say. Tickets will also be available at Air Canada Centre ticket office , though there will be no first day sales at that location, according to McCartney's web site.

Advance tickets are available to American Express Cardmembers beginning on Tuesday, June 8th, at 10am, and continuing through Friday June 11th at 10pm

Can somebody please inform me how the hell Ticketbastards service fees work? $19.75 for Paul Mccartney, $15.75 for Tom Petty or Rush and $12.75 for Canada Basketball all at the ACC. Do they not take a cut of the ticket value before service fees are added? :nooooo

Sir Paul was one of the most surreal concert experiences I've ever been a part of.
And since I saw him, he tends to be opening with Venus and Mars / Rock Show... and he played Nineteen Hundred Eighty Five for the first time ever back in March.
Would kill to see that tune live someday. 68 year olds? Looks like I better get crackin'.

I picked up four tickets in the $107 price range, anybody else going?
Also I just looked and there's a second ACC show listed for Monday August 9, 2010 with plenty of tickets still available. Kind of bullshit if this is the real deal cause I had to compete with loads of others for shittier seats when they're just gonna put a second show up for sale within hours of the first one going on sale. There's no way they didn't know about this ahead of time, but there's still no mention on <a class="postlink" href="http://www.paulmccartney.com">www.paulmccartney.com</a>

Does any know how the Seat Numbers are ordered in Section 302?;
For example, Is the seat i black-dotted, Seat 1 or Seat 15,
In other words, do the seats number up, from left to right?

I believe 1 starts from the left of the section and goes to 15 on the right side; seat you marked being 1. Either way you'll have an amazing view.

I saw Paul McCartney last summer in Halifax, and it was amazing. One of the best concert experiences of my life, right up there with The Rolling Stones in Moncton (2005). If anyone on here is considering going or on the fence at all...GO, you won't be disappointed.

Had this show been in the winter i'd strongly considering making the tip to Toronto myself, but being in August i can't with work. I'd love to have the chance to see him live once more though.
