I think Skeleton Park and Hush fit better with WATS, than those tracks do with IVL.

In my top 3 favourite Hip albums, maybe top 2. It was the first hip album I owned, and the only one that I ever listened to before I realized who the hip were.

Definitely one of their best-realized 'moody' albums. No songs get over-angsty like 'Depression Suite', and Gord's lyrical finesse really shines on tracks like 'Dire Wolf', 'Dark Canuck' and 'Leave'. The emotions conveyed in the music and lyrics of epics 'Darkest One' and 'It's a Good Life...' are extremely powerful. I find the rocking songs detract from the overall feel of the album (I'm looking at you, 'Are You Ready' and 'All Tore Up') but I find 'Silver Jet' to be way more enjoyable than most on this forum it seems.

i appreciate (as do The Hip, I'd say) the thoughtful comments. I hope others give IVL another good listen - there's alot there to love, as you highlight.
